Louis Tomlinson is a British singer and songwriter best known for being a member of the boy band One Direction.
Louis Tomlinson acted and sung on television and in school productions as a child and a teenager. In 2010, he auditioned for the television talent show The X Factor, and the judges paired him with four other contestants to form a boy band: Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik. This quintet became a chart-topping music sensation when they performed as One Direction.
Johannah, the artist's mother, died of leukemia in late 2016, at the age of 43. Félicité, Tomlinson's 18-year-old sister, died of a heart attack fifteen months later, leaving Tomlinson with yet another tragedy. Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth welcomed a son, Freddie Reign, in January 2016.
